A day in water…

Spent the day Kloofing (Canyoning) with my son Neo (9) and my brother Jaco on the Smalblaar section of the Molenaars River.

We walked in from the low-water bridge and made our way up through the water and over rocks up to the small waterfall, about an hour and a half up the river.

It was a great day & such a privalege to share it with my son and my brother.

I’ve put together some of the video footage into a short movie which you can watch below….

I dont usually put anything up on mylifeinwater that does not involve being in or under water in some way… but I decided to make an exception in this case.

A well-known Kite-Surfer named Nick Jacobsen, recently pulled a stunt which I find pretty impressive. Especially so, since it involved him climbing up and jumping down a crane on a ship that ran aground (a year or so ago) less than 10 minutes drive from where I stay.

It is a nicely put together video that is a little cheeky. Take a look below:

So, I finally have my copy of “Come Hell or High Water” (Keith Malloy’s epic bodysurfing film).

I’ve enjoyed every minute of it. Well worth watching.

Herbert Nitsch is an airline Pilot who also happens to be the man who has dived deeper than anyone else on one breath.

In 2012 he is going to attempt diving down to 800ft (244m). Below is a video-clip to give you a sense of what he will be doing.
